District Superintendent Rob Songer has pastored for 36 years in both staff and lead pastor roles, overseeing ministries from 30 to 1,000. His heart’s desire is to encounter God and others; and to engage with, equip and encourage the pastors, their families, and the laity of the Central California District.

District Superintendent Daren Pitcher was elected on April 19, 2024..  He and his wife, Amy grew up in Pismo Beach.  Daren preached his first sermon and felt his initial call to ministry on a mission trip to Mexico as a teenager.  After graduating from Point Loma Nazarene University, Daren spent a number of years as a youth pastor in Central and Southern California including Pismo Beach.  Daren also taught middle school in the Los Angeles community of Boyle Heights.  Daren’s previous pastorates led him to planting a church in San Diego followed by 14 years of pastoring in Bakersfield.  Amy is a Program Director and Bible teacher at a nearby middle school.  Daren and Amy have two sons, Dawson (a graduate of PLNU) and Noah (a graduate of Cal Poly, SLO).  Daren loves to surf and has many years of experience coaching volleyball and golf.

Pastor Debie serves as an assistant to the DS and the leader of credentials on the district.

Anita serves as the full time administrative assistant in the District office.

Jerry serves as the part time bookkeeper in the District office.

Pastor Julie serves the CCD as the secretary.  She is currently the Senior Pastor of the Tulare Church.

Pastor Chelsea is the director of Nazarene Discipleship International for the CCD.  She is currently the Co-Pastor Oakdale

Pastor Mike is the director of Nazarene Youth International for the CCD.  He is currently the Youth Pastor in Porterville.

Martha Lundquist is the director of Nazarene Missions International for the CCD.  She is currently a member of
